Last weekend Toronto Common had our first brunch event at the 8th Deadly Sin, a gastropub just off Yonge on Gloucester St.
We started with a surprise addition of mini banana muffins and cocoa puffs with our coffee or tea. Our waitress said the type of cereal and muffin often changes but it’s a fun little treat they give to all their brunch guests.
Next was a selection of fresh baked bread and homemade jam, all the bread was prepared in-house as was the jam, followed by 3 of their most popular brunch dishes all served in tasting sizes perfectly timed one after the other.
A slightly spicy roast chicken and sweet potato hash with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce, a crab cake benny and finishing with chicken and waffles, plus a mimosa all for $24 tax and tip included.
It was a great way to try 3 of their signature brunch dishes and enjoy a great, relaxing afternoon with plenty of food and great service.
Toronto Common would like to thank all our attendees and the 8th Deadly Sin for hosting such a wonderful event.
There will be one more brunch event March 8th, 2-4pm, tickets are still available but maybe not for long once these photos go up!
Toronto Common partners with local businesses to host fun, social, unique micro-events around the city. Micro or mini events allow for more engaging social settings, more unique offerings, and an overall more manageable experience for attendees & hosts.
