Toronto Common is excited to announce a special invite to That’s Life Gourmet‘s Summer Tasting Series.

That’s Life Gourmet is celebrating summer with a series of tasting events that feature each of their product categories; sake, Spanish wines, and Champagne.

Their final event of the summer will be at the Black Hoof partnered with their sister restaurant Rhum Corner.

The Black Hoof has been carrying That’s Life’s sakes and wines since they arrived in Ontario and will be hosting a special private tasting on their night off.

This event will showcase the depth of their portfolio with a collection of exclusive, limited stock vintages not available or available in limited quantity even for private order including a special Burgundy and Loire as well as the return of their Shochu cocktail created by Rhum Corner bartender Stu Sakai.

One of the goals for That’s Life is to foster an appreciation for quality producers and they know that that can only happen with tasting them. That’s Life has worked with the Black Hoof sommelier, Jake Skakun to pair their sake and wines including Domaine Vigot 2013 Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy and Hubert Paulet Premier Cru Champagne with some traditional and non-traditional food pairings.

Join us Wednesday, August 31st, 7pm for this special evening of sake, wine, and food!

That’s Life Wine + Sake has been committed to importing and representing fine wines and premium sakes since 1997.

They choose to develop and nurture relationships with boutique, small volume producers based on quality products, and their commitment to ethical and sustainable farming practices. They value education and are passionate about sharing knowledge. They strive to maintain brand integrity and are proud to work with loyal customers, valued trade partners, and exceptional producers who share their love of great wine, sake, food, family and fun.

Because to them, ‘that’s life!’

The Black Hoof is a meat and off-cut centric restaurant and bar focused on quality cuisine in a casual atmosphere. Everything is made: from their charcuterie to their cocktail garnishes.

Rhum Corner is their Haitian style sister restaurant and bar with cheap and tasty food, fun drinks, and lots and lots of rhum.
