Tamale Tour of Mexico at Cocina Lucero

For January we’re bringing back some of our past events for a 2014 throwback including Cocina Lucero‘s tamale tour of Mexico Wednesday, January 28th at 7pm.

Try 4 classic tamales, a traditional steamed corn cake with different wraps and fillings plus 2 surprise tamales and their jamaica (hibicuis cold tea) for $20 tax & tip included.

Wednesday, January 28th, 7PM-9PM

Menu:

Cocina Lucero’s Classic Tamalito from the Puebla region
Oxaca style with banana leaf wrap and mole
Yucatan style with banana leaf and achiote recado (sauce)
Chiapas style with swiss chard wrap

Plus 2 surprise tamales from different regions all with a variety of fillings.

Cocina Lucero, La Mexicana’s sister restaurant offers a more refined Mexican experieince. Featured in Restuarant Makeover in 2008 with Chef Lynn Crawford, Cocina Lucero still has many of her recipes and techniques on the menu paired with restaurant owner Lucero’s authentic Mexican style.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

All tickets must be purchased online before 11pm Monday, January 27th, 2014.

No tickets will be available at the door.

Maximum attendance: 10 people

Tickets must be presented (printed or electronically) to check-in.

Each ticket is a unique one-time use code and cannot be shared.

This is a communal event, guests will be seated with other guests.

Cocina Lucero is featuring tamales this month with a tamale tour of Mexico to showcase the different regions and tastes of Mexico with Toronto Common Wednesday November 12th & 26th at 7pm.
